A short, timeless story about a businessman who succeeds by noticing what everyone else overlooks. It’s a deceptively simple reminder that good ideas aren’t always complicated—sometimes the real advantage is simply paying attention to what’s right in front of you.

As I joined just a few days ago, my experience has been very positive so far. The joining and onboarding process was smooth, well-organised, and made me feel welcomed. The team has been supportive, and I’m looking forward to learning more, contributing effectively, and growing with the organisation.

Overall, my experience has been very positive so far. The recruitment and interview process was smooth, and everyone I've interacted with has been welcoming and supportive. The role and expectations were clearly explained, which made the transition easier. The only area that could be improved is the onboarding process, particularly around IT readiness and coordination, as there were a few delays. Other than that, I'm looking forward to learning more and contributing to the team.

My onboarding experience at Pine Labs has been excellent. The process was well-organised, the team was supportive, and the guidance from seniors helped me to understand the business and my role. I felt connected, welcomed and empowered to contribute from the very beginning.

Overall, the Interview and Hiring experience was unique for me because of the constant communication and transparency throughout the process. The coffee connect, a few weeks before the joining date was also a unique experience and opened the opportunity to connect with the manager and leadership. I loved my experience on the onboarding day as well, the clarity and the energy that day was unmatched.

Game Changers
EVERYDAY IS
GAME DAY
Meet the people turning the discipline, resilience, and competitive spirit of sport into a new chapter at Pine Labs. Each edition, we’ll spotlight one of our athletes-turned-professionals and the journey behind their second innings.

For Nikunj, sport was never just an extracurricular hobby. It was, and still is, the centre of his world.
His journey began close to home, playing badminton with older players in his apartment. It wasn’t long before people began recognising his potential, and what followed was years of training, competition and steadily climbing the ranks through state and national championships.
Balancing academics with a demanding and competitive sport was its own challenge. But as the wins kept coming, Nikunj and his family decided to go all in. His achievements eventually opened the door to support through Khelo India, and he spent the next few years climbing the ranks, eventually reaching No. 2 in the Junior category and No. 8 in the Senior category nationally, after clinching the No. 1 rank in Rajasthan.
“I have to believe I can beat the better player. I’ll never give my 100% if I'm not confident in my own skills."
Nikunj Pandey on self-belief, mental preparation, showing up ready to compete, and the mental shift that helps you stand on an even footing against anyone.
“For me, Take the Shot, is what defines what I do.”
On ownership as a mindset: stepping up, taking responsibility, and making your own opportunities.
And then came an injury. Nikunj had confront a difficult choice, and he ultimately chose not to take the risk of an uncertain surgery, and stepped away from the sport that not just shaped him but defined most of his life. But if the sport had taught him anything, it was how to approach uncertainty with a steady head.
When the opportunity at Pine Labs came up, his sporting achievements were part of his profile — but they weren't what he wanted to be defined by.
For Nikunj, the real goal was to earn trust through his work. He wanted his manager and colleagues to know that when he was given a responsibility, he would deliver because he had earned that confidence.
Today, the court may be behind him, but the mindset that took him there continues to shape his next chapter: prepare relentlessly, trust your abilities, and show up ready to compete.
